Floral Display: Tropical Getaway

January 3, 1:00 PM, Regina Floral Conversatory

The main highlight of the Regina Floral Conservatory is the indoor floral display that is open to the public, free of charge, seven days a week from September to the start of June. There is a permanent collection of trees, shrubs and other plants that make up the foundation of the display. This permanent collection includes a variety of trees (from figs to Norfolk pines) and plants (birds of paradise, succulents, cacti, and more).

This permanent collection is enhanced by a rotating floral display, which is designed, installed and maintained by RGA volunteers. Each morning, a volunteer maintenance crew oversees the care of the display – from watering, deadheading, identifying and dealing with insects and pests, adding in new plants and more. Throughout the course of the conservatory's 10-month season, six different displays are designed and installed.
