RCMP Sergeant Major's Parade

The colourful Sergeant Major's Parade is held year-round on Mon, Wed and Fri shortly after 12:45pm. The parade is held outside on the Parade Square in front of the RCMP Chapel or in the Drill Hall during cold or inclement weather. Each colourful, 60-minute ceremony includes the firing of the cannon, a troop drill display, the lowering of the flag with the playing of military music, followed by the March Past. Troop members wear the traditional scarlet tunic of the world-renowned Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Events start at 6:30pm on Jul 1 and Tuesdays until mid-Aug, weather permitting. Guests are encouraged to arrive by 6:15. The ceremony is held outside on the Parade Square in front of the RCMP Chapel, weather permitting. In inclement weather, the ceremony will be cancelled.
