Ice Breaker Cheerleading & Dance Championships
February 6, 11:00 AM, Conexus Arts Centre
The Ice Breaker Cheerleading and Dance Championships is a Saskatchewan Cheerleading Assosiation Sanctioned event, which will be held on Saturday, February 6 2016 at the Conexus Arts Centre. This event will involve approximately 1500 athletes and 2000 spectators from across the Province as well as Internationally.
Competitive Cheerleading and dancing has experienced tremendous growth in our Province in recent years. The athletes competing at Ice Breaker belong to teams at the elementary and high school levels in our schools as well as at the club level (ages 3- post secondary and beyond). To help the sport continue to grow, we need to provide additional, quality competitions as it is through competition that the level of our teams improves. The Ice Breaker Cheerleading and Dance Championships in February is open to elementary, high school, special needs and club team Internationally and provides one of those needed competitive opportunities.
The 2016 Championships will consist of two sessions largely involving team performances, but there are individual routines as well. All routines will be judged and will receive awards based on their performances.
Admission prices are as follows:
10 and under- $12
Under 5- Free!
Tickets will be available at the door and event wristbands will be provided upon purchase, which will allow spectators to come and go as they wish throughout the day.
If spectators are coming to watch a specific team, we encourage those to arrive early, as we expect a very high volume of spectators. Most spectators stay for a good portion of the program, as the entertainment value provided by the event is exciting and entertaining.
The venue consists of auditorium seating and is wheelchair accessible. Doors for spectator admission will be open in the a.m. with session #1 beginning around approx. 11 am (final times TBA closer to the event).
