Polka/Old Time. This Regina-based polka band originated in Calgary in 1975. In 1976, the group traveled to Edmonton to record an album under the name The Western Senators. The group pressed 500 albums, all of which sold quickly and so began a musical journey that has now lasted 40 years, and counting.

The Western Senators have 11 albums, 18 DVDs, 80 PolkaRama Television Shows, and a Grammy nomination to their credit. They have been featured at Minot`s Norsk Høstfest every year since 2006, have made five appearances at the Kimberley Accordion Festival, have appeared at the Cleveland Polka Hall of Fame Awards show and regularly headline at casinos across Western Canada and at Danceland, Manitou Beach...Canada`s last grand dancehall.
