Title of the talk: "This is Our Time"

 Tina Beaudry-Mellor wears many hats.  She is a long time member of the Department of Political Science at the University of Regina where she has been recognized for outstanding teaching, including the 2012 President's Teaching and Learning Scholars award for her collaborative work on Teaching Civic Engagement in Post Secondary Settings. She is cross appointed in Women's and Gender Studies. She has served as the chief expert analyst for Global Regina for every provincial and federal election since 2007 and frequently provides commentary to radio, television and print media on political issues. Tina has also been published in everything from formal venues like her joint article on the Saskatchewan 2007 election for the Canadian Political Science Review, to op-eds on the lingerie football league in the Leader Post, to her own personal blog at www.tinabeaudrymellor.ca. In addition to providing insight to the media, she served as one of the panelists in the 2013 Inspiring Leadership forum hosted by the University President, Dr. Vianne Timmons.

Tina also owns her own political consulting business, TBM strategies, where she provides issues advocacy coaching, including social media message management. TBM Strategies is a proud sponsor of this event.

In addition to these professional pursuits, Tina is very active in our community. She is currently the Saskatchewan Chair of Equal Voice and also serves on the Equal Voice National Board of Directors. Equal Voice is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase the number of capable women who serve in public office, to support those who are already there and to celebrate those who have paved the way. She also serves on both the Saskatchewan Arts Board and the Regina Transition House board of Directors. In 2012, Tina ran for the civic election in Regina.

Tina is the mother of 12 year old, very active twins, Kayman & Montana and the wife of Kevin. When she is not busy managing a busy household and working as a volunteer or professional, she competes in Spartan races and takes long walks in the nature preserve with her two boxers, Harley and Maverick.
