Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique follows the journey of a tortured artist who, in a fit of dispair over his lost love, poisons himself. Madness ensues as we follow the young man through his dreams, a masquerade, down to hell itself.  This concert will also feature saxophonist Gerard Weber performing Creston's Saxophone Concerto; a piece which explores both the virtuosic and meditative qualities of the modern instrument.
