For the third consecutive year, Class Act Performing Arts Studios Annual Full-Length production of The Nutcracker Ballet, will include performances by guest professionals and auditioned amateur performers. There will be one matinee and two evening performances at the Conexus Arts Centre.
Based on the classic story, the ballet was originally choreographed by the famous Marius Petipa, to the amazing score by Tchaikovsky. In this production audiences will have the opportunity to see a new adaptation by choreographer Monica Ventura. Children who attend the evening performances may have a unique chance to be a part of the actual show, as one pre-school child will be chosen every performance to be “Mouse for the Day” and will be given a small role at the beginning of the presentation.

The evening rendition of The Nutcracker Ballet will include a festive celebration on the mezzanine prior to the evening performances. The production runs approximately 2 hours including a twenty-minute intermission. Children can enjoy dressing up as their favourite characters, and may join in a caroling sing-a-long presented by the children in the Class Act Show Choir.
