Golden Apple Theatre presents: The Last Five Years (Feb 3 – 14th), starring Kaitlyn Semple and Leon Willey is a wonderful musical production which premiered at Chicago's Northlight Theatre in 2001, and was produced Off-Broadway in March 2002.

It won the 2002 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music and Lyrics, as well as receiving Drama Desk nominations for Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Actor, Outstanding Actress, Outstanding Orchestrations, and Outstanding Set Design. It also received the Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Outstanding Musical and Outstanding Actor, and the Outer Critics Circle Award nomination for Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical

The production explores a five-year relationship between a rising novelist, and a struggling actress. The man’s story is told in chronological order, while the woman’s is told in reverse chronological order. The A film adaptation of the production starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan will be released on Feb 13th 2015.
