The Regina Symphony Chamber Players (RSCP) will perform with Jeffery Straker at the Casino Regina Show Lounge on Friday, November 20, 2015. The concert will feature many of Jeffery’s well-known songs and some new tunes as well as pieces by the talented musicians of the RSCP. The concert is part of the RSO Piano Festival that takes place from November 14-28, 2015 to celebrate the versatility and scope of this popular instrument.

Singer/songwriter/pianist, Jeffery Straker, has recorded for CBCs ‘Canada Live’, had a music video chart in the top 10 on Much Music and has toured to countries as far flung as Ghana and Peru. His sold-out shows with Canadian symphonies inspired Canadian Musician Magazine to call him “very much an artist to watch”. The Chicago Free Press wrote, “Rufus Wainwright and k.d. lang are among the Canadians making essential and beautiful music─add Jeffery Straker to that list”.

Jeffery’s latest career boost came when he represented Canada at the 2014 Vina del Mar (Chile) song competition─and won! 20,000 people watched his live performance and an incredible 100,000,000 people throughout the Spanish speaking world watched on television. Jeffery truly has earned international recognition.

The RSCP are the heart and soul of the Regina Symphony Orchestra (RSO) representing 12 of its best musicians. The RSCP perform regularly throughout the season including the RSO’s Government House Chamber Music Series, school concerts for more than 4,000 students and in communities throughout southern Saskatchewan. The RSCP also act as ambassadors for the orchestra through the RSO's many free chamber concerts (throughout the city) and at public events.
