New Canadian Kid, by Denis Foon, is the story of Nick, who moves to Canada with his family. Nick grapples with a new culture as well as hostile classmates who taunt him for being different. Exuberant and touching, the whole family can share Nick’s experiences as he makes friends, learns a new language, and adjusts to change. “Not only a young people’s theatre classic, but a Canadian one as well.” — Canadian Theatre Encyclopedia.
