Old Gold Night Club Reunion
October 10, 6:00 PM, Turvey Centre
Regina, SK. - Many of the people who have lived in Regina for over 30 years or more, will remember the Old Gold Night Club. It was located on Albert Street and Parliament Avenue. The live entertainment that played there came from all corners of North America. Bands like; Gino Vannelli, Blood Sweat & Tears, Witness Inc., New Citations, Lou Rawls, Charity Brown, Hell N High Water and 100’s of more Bands graced the stage of the Old Gold.
This was a Night Club with class where everyone dressed up to attend. They put on their “Glitz” and danced the night away.
The Old Gold moved with the times and became Regina’s first Night Club to become Regina’s first Disco Club. The club was equipped with the best lighting and sound systems available in its day.
The Management and Staff of the Old Gold held an enormously successful reunion at the Centre of the Arts in 1997. Through the years hundreds of people who attended the 97 Reunion asked to do it again and bring back those fun memories of years past. These requests have been answered, and on October 10th, 2015 another Old Gold Night Club Reunion will be held at the Turvey Centre in Regina.
There will be lighting and sound from the 70s and early eighties as the night’s entertainment. The attendance will include the past management, staff and alumni customers of the Old Gold Night Club. The music and entertainment will be from the decades the club operated bringing back the fond memories of the day”. A Blast from the Past” to reminisce and reconnect with old friends from this era.
Tickets are $20 per person and available through alumni committee heads Len Harker and Kelly Demyen.
