The Cultural Exchange presents Séan McCann. He’s a lot of things, husband, father, and true through-and-through Newfoundlander among them. He’s also a dyed-in-the-wool folk music, searching for truth and sincerity in all things. After leaving Great Big Sea, a legitimate phenomenon in the world of Canadian folk music, McCann needed to continue to define himself. He did just that with his first post-GBS solo album, Help Your Self, released in 2014 and produced by Joel Plaskett, and all the subsequent singles he’s been releasing online since.
