Fiesta Friday w/Quique Escamilla and the Mariachi Ghost

The Regina Folk Festival Concert Series presents Fiesta Friday, bringing together two Mexican music acts in the Exchange. Chiapas, Mexico-born artist Quique Escamilla is now based out of Toronto, ON, where the modern day troubadour fuses traditional Mexican styles of music with moderns sounds like rock, reggae, ska, and pop. His latest album, 500 Years of Night, came out in 2014. Winnipeg, MB seven piece band the Mariachi Ghost approach traditional Mexican music with influences from progressive rock and a flair for the dramatic. They released their self-titled album in 2013.
Doors at 7:30 p.m. Show at 8 p.m. Advance tickets are $20 plus service charges and are available online at TicketBreak. $25 at the door. All ages and licensed.
