Curtain Razors to launch first event in a salon series of “Moveable Feasts”

Regina, Sask. – 25 year-old Regina based theatre company Curtain Razors launches first event in a new salon-style series, called “The Moveable Feast” which will provide a platform for new works and discussion of performing arts in the province.

WHAT:

Founded by maverick Artistic Director Michele Sereda in 1989, Curtain Razors is Saskatchewan’s longest running alternative theatre company. In February of 2015, Sereda died suddenly in a car accident. In May 2015, the Board appointed Joey Tremblay as the new Artistic Director. Tremblay is a multi-award winning playwright, theatre-maker, director and actor whose work has been presented and critically acclaimed nationally and internationally. This event will be the first in a new series of “Moveable Feasts” throughout 2016.

THE MOVEABLE FEAST | PROVOCATION SERIES will present pop-up public and industry-focused events throughout the year.  These events are designed to provoke discussion and critical thinking with our peers, while at the same time engaging the general public with the challenges and controversies that face Saskatchewan Artists.  Curated by Curtain Razor’s Artistic Director and the Artistic Associates, this series will take various forms throughout the year such as:  Panels, Salons, Symposiums, Debates, Readings, Pitch Sessions and Parties.
