About Us

The first of its kind in Saskatchewan, Prairie Skies Musical Theatre Company is bringing outdoor musical theatre to this great Province. Set against a Prairie landscape and the ambiance of our magnificent sunsets, young professionally trained artists from across the country will come together to create a magical experience for residents and tourists.

Performances will be held during the summer outdoors under the Prairie sky in rural Saskatchewan near the Village of Edenwold, approximately 45 kms from Regina. Performances will be held Tuesday through Saturday in the month of August.

Performers are recruited through open auditions at theatrical colleges in Canada ensuring lead roles are filled with professionally trained artists. Seasoned professionals from the arts community are supporting the production in key technical roles – production manager, music director, lighting and sound – to name a few. These professionals will mentor young people from the area who are considering pursuing careers in these technical roles.

Cameo appearances may take place with well-known individuals from the region – politicians, media personalities, professional athletes etc.

Prairie Skies Musical Theatre Co. Inc. is a non-profit corporation incorporated under THE NON-PROFIT CORPORATIONS ACT, 1995 on January 5, 2012 – Entity Number 101198328.

Also take in the fowl supper prior to showtime – Thursday, Friday, Saturday – starting at 6:00 pm. The fowl supper features turkey, hot potato salad, cabbage rolls, Saskatchewan vegetables, salad varieties, buns and beverages. And, for dessert, Saskatoon, blueberry or apple pie.
