History Alive! Vignettes launch Second Season this Summer

The History Alive! Vignettes, short performances, imagining life at Government House from 1898-1910 and the Saskatchewan Legislative Building from 1911-1919 are back for a second season. These vignettes share significant historical moments that shaped the making of our province. These engaging vignettes, each about 30 minutes in length, will run from July 3rd through to September 7th at Government House on Sundays and Tuesdays and at the Legislative Building on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“These vignettes offer a unique and interesting way to learn about our province’s past,” Minister responsible for the Provincial Capital Commission Mark Docherty said. “They preserve our rich history and raise awareness of these significant heritage properties in our Capital City.”

“During Tourism Awareness Week we are delighted to announce that the History Alive! Vignettes will take place this summer season.” said Ingrid Cazakoff CEO of Heritage Saskatchewan. “This season is supported by our partners, including the Provincial Capital Commission and Government House with the Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport and the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly – Visitor Services.”

“I also want to give a special thank you to our sponsors, Tourism Saskatchewan and the Government House Historical Society,” Cazakoff said. “We extend a huge thank you to all for their support.”
Heritage Saskatchewan is a non-profit organization that receives its funding from the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation, through SaskCulture Inc.
