This program of orchestral blockbusters pushes musical boundaries to their limits!  The program begins with the RSO's annual side-by-side with the SSYO during Wagner's Die Meistersinger: Prelude. Next, Leonard Bernstein’s groundbreaking Broadway musical is given the full symphonic treatment in Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, and Stravinsky’s puppet burlesque ballet score finishes the season in an explosion of symphonic colour.
