Warehouse District Walking Tour

October 7, 1:30 PM, Warehouse District

Looking for the perfect way to spend a gorgeous fall afternoon this Thanksgiving weekend? Join us for the launch of an audio walking tour of the Warehouse District, produced and narrated by Evie Ruddy.

We'll meet at Cafe Drip, enjoy a complimentary coffee, take the tour together, and finish at Rebellion Brewing for a pint of beer!

On the tour, you'll listen to stories about an historic neighbourhood that has long entertained the city with its nightclubs, restaurants, brewpubs and the city's first football stadium.

You'll hear from the son of a family that ran the Schnitzel Haus where the State/Distrikt used to be; stand in the spot where the Roughriders played their first games in the early 1900s; hear stories about the controversial entertainment at the district's first nightclub, Casablanca; learn about an Indigenous Arts and Crafts organization that used to operate where the Exchange is today; find out how Rebellion Brewing got its name; and meet the founder of Bushwakker, who played a pivotal role in the brewpub movement in Saskatchewan.
