Easter Seals Drop Zone

August 25, Hill Tower II

Regina, Sask.— Calling all superheroes! Looking for a new challenge this New Year? Wanting to make a positive impact in your community? Join us for the 12th annual Easter Seals™ Drop Zone on Saturday, August 25 (raindate August 26).

Whether a seasoned adrenaline junkie or a first-timer, past participants all agree: Easter Seals™ Drop Zone is an opportunity of a lifetime! The event challenges citizens of Regina and area to become superheroes by raising $1,500 in pledges, earning the opportunity to rappel down Hill Tower II, and in turn, helping deserving kids access Easter Seals™ programming.

In addition to supporting children and adults with disabilities in our province, the rappel encourages participants to conquer their fears, step outside their comfort zone and discover the superhero powers they had inside themselves all
along.

First-time participant Greg Reddekopp admitted last year he was nervous before his rappel, saying the easy part was fundraising and raising awareness for Easter Seals™, but those nerves quickly disappeared as he started his descent. “I think this was one of the best things I have ever done for myself,” he said after the drop. “I know it was mainly to help raise awareness and educate those on Easter Seals™, but I had no idea how much enjoyment I would get out of it!”

Last year over 80 participants braved the rappel lines and helped raise more than $86,000 for Easter Seals™ Saskatchewan! With summer fast approaching, we’re excited to challenge the community once again and make a
meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Registration for Drop Zone 2018 is now open! Just visit www.thedropzone.ca to sign up. Plus, get tricks of the trade and tips on how to engage your networks and raise pledges to help you get started

All proceeds of the event will support Easter Seals™ Saskatchewan programming, most notably Camp Easter Seal, the only completely wheelchair-accessible camp of its kind in the province.
