Music of the Ballet - Regina Symphony Orchestra

This concert features some of the most colourful ballet music ever written. Norwegian violinist Ingerine Dahl presents Saint-Saens’s work twice this evening with Havanaise and Introduction and Rondo-Capriccioso. Also, Maestro Aizaga is back due to popular demand to present you with yet another unforgettable evening.

Ingerine Dahl

Ingerine Dahl was born into a musical family in Stavanger, Norway. She started playing the violin at the age of three and continued her violin-studies in her hometown and then in Copenhagen, Lausanne and at the "Mozarteum" in Salzburg. She has won several national and international prizes and awards both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. She has since 2004 been associate 2.concertmaster in Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, she is the founder of Skasei string trio which has had successful tours to Scandinavia, Italy, South-Africa and France and of the Norwegian Cathedral Ensemble which holds monthly chamber concerts in the main cathedral in Stavanger. She is also 1.concertmaster of CCCO based in Los Angeles which tours all over the worlds with A.Tigranyan. Her solo repertoire includes amongst others concertos by Vivaldi, Telemann and Bach to Beethoven, Mozart, Sibelius, Prokofiev and Piazzolla. Important projects during the last years was the complete series of both L.van Beethoven and F. Schuberts works for violin and piano with concert series and live-DVD recording from the concerts in Belgrade together with the serbian pianist Milan Rabrenovic. She is an official Dextra Musica-musician and has at her disposal the 1848-1850 J.B. Vuillaume "Ole Bull" violin from the Norwegian Sparebankstiftelse.
