GREY CUP 2013 CELEBRATION ... comes back home to the greatest fans in the CFL

Work is well underway for the party that will be the 101st Grey Cup Festival. The game will be played in Regina at Mosaic Stadium Sunday November 24, 2013 after an entire week of exciting events.

“Celebration in Rider Nation is the theme”, Grey Cup Executive Director Neil Donnelly said. “We are in the heart of the Rider Nation, but we wanted to emphasize the fact that when you come to the Grey Cup in Regina, you are going to be coming to a party so not only will you be celebrating the history of the Grey Cup, but you will be doing it within the heart of the most passionate fan base in the CFL.”

This will be the third Grey Cup celebration for Regina. The first two, held in 1995 and 2003 were tremendous successes. According to all those involved, the 2013 version will be the best ever.

The committee says this event will be even bigger with the new city plaza downtown and new facilities at Evraz place. The whole city will be alive with events. The big tent is returning to the downtown area, and the Conexus Arts Centre will host the player awards with more events being held at Casino Regina and the Delta Hotel. Many parties will rock the week at Evraz Place and of course the week will wrap up with the game at Mosaic Stadium. There will be events for kids of all ages and some family-friendly activities as well.

Merchandise with the Grey Cup 2013 Festival logo can now be found and avid shoppers are encouraged to go on-line or visit one of “The Rider Store” locations in Regina.

CFL fans from across the nation are sure to get a true feeling of why CFL football is embraced in Saskatchewan and when they leave, they will have been a part of “The Celebration In Rider Nation.”
