Wascana Centre Authority

Regina’s crown jewel truly is Wascana Centre. With 2,300 acres wrapped around the beautiful Wascana Lake and stretching from Albert Street to Fleet Street, Wascana Centre is a magnet for events and activities all year long!

Wascana Centre is home to parks, playgrounds, and a variety of picnic sites and unique rental venues in addition to these major attractions: Saskatchewan Legislative Building, Royal Saskatchewan Museum, MacKenzie Art Gallery, Saskatchewan Science Centre and Kramer IMAX Theatre.

Yearly events include everything from fundraising walks and runs to Canada Day festivities, concerts, sporting competitions, cultural festivals and much more! In the winter, check out the IceCycle event on the east lake. In the spring, a family favourite is the Wings Over Wascana (WOW) Nature Festival southeast of Candy Cane Playground. In the summer, hundreds circle the lake each day walking, running and biking. You’ll see canoes, kayaks, sailboats and dragon boats on the lake – why not join in? In the fall, enjoy the beauty of nature as the leaves of the trees and shrubs change to a full spectrum of beautiful hues.

Wascana Centre has plenty to offer nature-wise: a variety of walks, a Junior Naturalist program for kids, the Habitat Conservation Area where you might happen to see goat grazing taking place, pond dipping and much more! Don’t forget to stop by Waterfowl Park Display Ponds to feed the flock we care for too!
